Our extra-large glovebox (66 quart capacity) comes pre-assembled and features 18-inch heavy-duty PVC-coated gloves attached to 5-inch access ports, professionally installed on the face of an optically clear plastic bin. A glovebox (also known as a still air box or SAB) is a sealed container that is designed to allow the user to manipulate objects in a sterile and draft-free micro-environment. Gloves are built into the face of the container and arranged so the user can easily place their hands into the gloves and perform procedures inside of the bin without breaking containment. A glovebox is essential for mushroom inoculations, agar work, liquid culture work, or any other laboratory procedure that is sensitive to airborne contaminants.
This glovebox features tight-fitting plastic latches that secure the lid to the container. The container's see-through design enables a frustration-free workflow process. The pre-installed industrial-strength gloves create a contaminant barrier between the user's hands and the contents of the bin. The gloves are PVC-coated and feature a soft internal cotton liner.
This glovebox is over TWICE the size of standard gloveboxes on the market. Furthermore, this glovebox uses 5-inch diameter access ports whereas others only use 4-inch access ports. Gloveboxes with 4-inch access ports are practically useless to anyone with bigger arms. The larger 5-inch size of our access ports allows the user's arms to fully extend into the gloves, rather than being constrained to a 4-inch diameter which is smaller than the typical person's forearm.
